BY METRO:

Dupont Circle is the closest Metro stop: use the South exit from the station and walk one block along 19th Street to N Street. Turn left and continue along N Street crossing Connecticut Avenue and 18th Street. The Tabard Inn is located mid-block between 18th and 17th Streets on your left.

FROM VIRGINIA:

From Route 66 East into Washington, stay left and take E Street exit. Follow E Street and make a left onto 18th Street. Continue on 18th Street to the Connecticut Avenue intersection staying right on 18th through the intersection and immediately making a right turn onto N Street. The Tabard Inn is located mid-block between 18th and 17th Streets on your left.

From 395 North into Washington, cross 14th Street Bridge staying left to Route 1 exit.  Continue North on 14th Street and make a left onto P Street.  Continue on P Street and make a left onto 18th Street.  At second traffic signal make another left onto N Street.  The Tabard Inn is located mid-block between 18th and 17th Streets on your left.

FROM MARYLAND:

From the Capital Beltway take the Connecticut Avenue exit South through Chevy Chase and into Washington.  Continue along Connecticut Avenue straying right after R Street and exiting Connecticut Avenue before the Dupont Circle underpass.  Make a left onto Q Street, continue two blocks and make a right onto 18th Street.  Continue through to the third traffic signal and make a left onto N Street.  The Tabard Inn is located mid-block between 18th and 17th Streets on your left.

DIRECTIONS FROM NYC/BALTIMORE

Take 95 South to Baltimore Tunnel. After tunnel continue on 95 South about 2 miles, follow signs for Baltimore Washington Parkway (295 South). Take the Baltimore/Washington Parkway South approximately 40 miles to 50 West. Take 50 west until it turns into New York Avenue. Continue on New York Avenue until 9th St. NW and veer right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Take Massachusetts Avenue to 18th St, NW. Take a left onto 18th St. Take a left onto N St. We are at 1739 N Street.

PARKING:

As the Tabard Inn has no parking itself, and finding a parking spot in downtown Washington near the hotel can be quite a challenge, we urge you to use public transportation whenever possible.  Metered spaces line N Street in front of the Hotel and are relentlessly enforced during the day until 6:30 PM. After 6:30 and on weekends and holidays they are free. Additionally, there is a commercial parking lot (Standard) in the lower level of the office building at the 18th and N Street intersection as well as private valet parking at the Canterbury Hotel next to the Tabard Inn. Check with each for availability.
